Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador declared yesterday that his country will suspend relations with Ecuador, after police raided the Mexican embassy in Quito to arrest former vice president Jorge Glas who had taken refuge in the diplomatic headquarters.
"This is a flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty of Mexico," Obrador wrote on X, adding that he had ordered the immediate suspension of diplomatic relations with the country.
