The counting of the ballots is subverting the result predicted by the exit polls of the presidential elections in Slovakia: when 88% of the seats have been counted, Peter Pellegrini, the president of the parliament allied with the pro-Russian populist prime minister Robert Fico, is in the lead with 59% of the votes. The pro-Western diplomat Ivan Korcok is gathering only 44%, as reported by a TvTa3 banner. The website of the Sme newspaper presents this gap as now unbridgeable.
