A video of a cat and her four babies confidently claiming a woman's home has gone viral on TikTok.
The touching clip was shared by @gingerroots_
and
has already been viewed more than 2.1 million times since it was posted in late March. The message behind it: “When you feed a stray cat and it brings you its kittens”. The photos show a cat running across the terrace and carrying a kitten in its mouth. A hand opens the sliding glass door to let her into the house. The kitty brings another kitten before the clip later shows a whole bunch curled up on a blanket. There are four kittens in total: “Two orange-white and two gray-white.”
When cats choose a home
The woman's enthusiastic reaction is understandable, as the temptation to save a stray cat can be strong. But a cat that runs around freely outside is not always a stray without an owner. Some of them have homes. So it makes sense to clarify beforehand whether the velvet paw doesn't belong to someone else. Before taking care of a stray kitten, you can check with the local animal welfare organization or nearby animal shelter.
