Taking the hunting dog for a spin through the park – a good idea, thought one dog owner. But she had forgotten something important.
In 2023, Cheryl Cawston from the English city of Norfolk rescued the four-year-old male Albie from the animal shelter. Since then, the human-dog duo has been training together to become hunting dogs. Now the two are getting a lot of attention on the social media platform
TikTok
for a completely different reason .

Albie's owner posted an extremely entertaining video there that she recorded after a walk with her dog. It shows a hair-raising mess and dirt-smeared prints all over Cheryl Cawston's car, which are obviously from Albie's paws. But the hunting dog sits in the driver's seat as if nothing had happened. This cat also goes on exciting excursions - he even has a camera with him.
Car full of muddy paw prints – what happened?
The US news magazine
Newsweek
wanted to know from Cawston what had happened. In the interview, the Brit said: "We were just out for a walk and he jumped straight into the car and refused to get out." On the ten-minute drive home, Albie had enough time to wreak havoc in the car that Cawston did on her
TikTok
channel @forevertrainingalbie posted. The black leather seats were covered in mud. It then took Cawston more than three hours to clean the car, she told
Newsweek
.
But there is no trace of a guilty conscience on the part of Albie the dog in the video. He sits calmly in the driver's seat, which is also completely dirty, and waits patiently for the lively ride in the car to finally get started - after all, the walk in the park was tiring enough, he seems to want to say. In addition, his owner wasn't entirely innocent of the mess, according to
Newsweek
. She ended up forgetting the towel to clean Albie before boarding. Watch a Golden Retriever's wild five minutes here.

After the chaos in the car, the Brit at least scored a hit on
TikTok
. Hundreds of thousands of users have watched her funny video there so far. Luckily - because now Cawston can laugh about the animal mishap: "I just want to show the world how much love you can give a dog, even when it's dirty, and I hope people see how important it is rescuing a dog [from the shelter],” she told
