Royal Creamatic or Green Gelato: Grass with particularly colored flowers or the taste of ice cream? If you want to buy cannabis seeds online, you don't have an easy choice. However, Germans can't find anything in hardware stores. They have not yet prepared specifically for the partial legalization of cannabis.

Cannabis seeds and growing materials are missing from the hardware store range
Adults have been able to grow up to three plants of cannabis since April 1, 2024. Hardware stores do not sell cannabis seeds because trading them within Germany remains prohibited for the time being. But growing materials, such as special pots or lamps, are not yet available in hardware stores.
The partial legalization of cannabis has “no impact” on the product range of the Hornbach hardware store. Obi also doesn't want to adjust its range. Toom tells

No cannabis seeds in hardware stores until further notice
Bauhaus also tells BuzzFeed News Germany that the partial legalization of cannabis currently has no influence on the current product range and that cannabis is therefore not available as seeds or plants from Bauhaus until further notice.
What things will look like in the hardware stores in a few months remains to be seen. Until then, “hobby gardeners,” as a dealer told
BuzzFeed News Deutschland
describes private cannabis growers, will have to resort to online shops. Most are based in the Netherlands or Spain. Due to the rush from Germany, items are already sold out and delivery delays of one or two days.
