Live streams always cause the strangest situations. A Fortnite professional from Switzerland had his neighboring house catch fire during a tournament.
Switzerland – A major unique selling point of live streams on platforms like Twitch is their spontaneity. Regardless of whether you stream a video game or broadcast directly from real life, unexpected things can happen anytime and anywhere. This recently happened to a young person from Switzerland. Fortnite pro Eisiwrld was in the middle of an online tournament when he noticed his neighboring house had caught fire.
House fire captured in live stream – young Fortnite professional is not deterred by it
This is what happened:
Large and small tournaments take place practically every week in the Battle Royale Fortnite. There are hardly any barriers to entry as long as you have some kind of platform on which the game runs. Accordingly, professionals can play their tournaments from the comfort of their own home. The whole thing can be lucrative; some Fortnite professionals skip school to get rich with the game. One of them is the Swiss Eisiwlrd. In addition to his participation in the tournament, he recently had other problems.
In the middle of the livestream during the Solo Cash Cup in Fortnite, Eisiwrld noticed smoke coming from the neighboring house. It quickly became clear that the neighbors' house was actually on fire. But the 17-year-old didn't help contain the flames. For good reason: his father advised him to stay indoors because of the smoke. The father helped out himself with the garden hose while the fire department arrived. So Eisiwrld did what he probably does best: he continued playing the Fortnite tournament.
Eisiwrld gets the earnings:
In the TikTok posted by Eisiwrld, the streamer and Fortnite professional finally explained that he was still able to get the earnings. That means: Despite the house fire, he was able to win the round to secure a cash prize. There should first be a few “W’s in the chat”.
The Battle Royale from Epic Games is always good for surprises. Even big stars like Doja Cat can be seen every now and then in Fortnite, where they let out their gamer rage like everyone else. However, not all of the headlines about the game are good - a suspected sex offender who wanted to lure minors with Fortnite was recently arrested. He wanted to buy physical favors through in-game items and V-Bucks.
