The parents usually know best what the baby needs. However, things can get difficult when other family members or friends want to know better. If in doubt, advice from an expert will help.
If the baby cries because it is hungry, tired, too warm or too cold - parents only develop a feeling for how their child is doing and whether it needs something over time - which does not mean that all parents in every Know how to react appropriately to the situation. Especially with their first child, most parents still lack the necessary experience - so it doesn't matter whether they have the child in their mid-twenties or late thirties.
