A 'self-regulation code' for candidates. It was developed by the PD Commissioner for Campania, Antonio Misiani, together with the Dem provincial secretaries and on Monday it will be presented for the first time in a meeting of the regional party. "But it is clear - Misiani explains to ANSA - that these rigid rules that we intend to apply now in Campania to all candidates for the next administrative elections and which had already been partly tested for the municipal elections in Naples, can be extended to every place where it could become necessary."

Even in Bari or Piedmont for example? "Absolutely yes", replies Misiani.

In the draft of the 'Self-regulation Code' that Ansa is able to anticipate there are various requests that will be asked of the Dem candidate. Among these, first of all, the criminal certificate. In fact, the regional and provincial PD and the clubs will have to acquire, before the end of the presentation of the lists, the CVs, criminal records and criminal certificates of the candidates "in order to adequately instruct the approval of the lists according to the statutory procedures". Then the Democratic Party, according to what we read in the draft developed by the party's head of Economy and senator of the Democratic Party Antonio Misiani, together with the Dem provincial secretaries, will ask its candidates to sign a self-declaration with which they undertake to report to the competent offices and to Party bodies: - any phenomena of vote conditioning, vote swapping, intimidation during the electoral campaign - attempts at intimidation, corruption or extortion during one's elective or administrative mandate. And we also ask that the utmost attention be paid: - so that there are clear mechanisms of administrative transparency and the fight against corruption and the influence of criminal organisations: - priority is given to the issue of the reuse of assets confiscated from the Camorra, combating any form of omission and opacity. - priority is given to the issue of education on legality and educational poverty. Furthermore, any candidates will have to sign the 'ethical code' and will have to declare that they are not ineligible for candidacy with respect to the anti-mafia self-regulation code. Then he is also asked to undertake to communicate to the party's guarantee bodies any possible change in his position. According to what we learn, the application of this 'Code' in Campania will be entrusted by the Democratic Party to magistrate Franco Roberti, former National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor.
