"Six months have passed since October 7th, from the brutal assault by Hamas on the Israeli population. I invited the Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katze to Rome with him I will meet a group of relatives of the hostages, for whom Italy is asking for immediate release. We will never give up to condemn Hamas' brutal decision to conduct a real pogrom against Israeli citizens living around the Strip": this was declared by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
Just this afternoon, an operational meeting on the Food for Gaza initiative will be held at the Farnesina, chaired by Tajani, in which his Israeli counterpart Katz will participate, as announced by the Farnesina.
In addition to the two ministers, representatives of FAO and WFP will be present at the meeting, together with the head of the Italian civil protection department Fabrizio Curcio and the president of the Italian Red Cross Rosario Valastro who will also represent the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (Ficross).
