A manufacturer is recalling a “Miracle Tree” product. It is an organic product. There is a risk of health damage if consumed.
Munich – A healthy diet is important to many people. Some people use organic products. A manufacturer who particularly advertises this is now recalling a product. Consumers should therefore look closely at the packaging. The recall affects Moringa powder from the manufacturer Bionutra, a dietary supplement. There are serious health risks. Organic herbs were also recently recalled.
Organic product recalled: manufacturer warns – “Product is no longer suitable for consumption”
In a statement, BTG Berlin Trade GmbH informs that salmonella has been detected in the product. The manufacturer warns customers: “This product is no longer suitable for consumption and is being recalled for reasons of precautionary consumer protection.”

Best before date (BBD): August 24, 2025
The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety also informed about the recall. 15 federal states are affected. Only Brandenburg is not affected.
Moringa powder – what is it exactly?
As the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) informs, Moringa products come from the Moringa tree (Moringa oleifera), which is found in northwest India. According to GEO Magazine, this is also known as the horseradish tree or miracle tree. “The dried leaves are usually offered as tea or as a powder to be stirred into drinks (smoothies) or to enrich dishes,” the LGL continues.

“The symptoms usually go away on their own after several days. “In particular, infants, small children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems can develop more severe illnesses,” it continues.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product should “contact the manufacturer to obtain a refund,” according to the notice. A nationwide recall also recently caused a stir. A popular baked product contained foreign bodies. A discounter denied selling the product.
