Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) has claimed responsibility for an operation in which the Russian missile ship "Serpukhov" was set on fire in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. The Kyiv Post writes this, quoting a Ukrainian Guru source according to which the vessel suffered significant damage following the fire in the operation carried out yesterday. "It was a special operation by Gur. The ship is not feeling well now," the source told the Kyiv Post. Yesterday, the Gur had published a message on Telegram reporting the fire on the ship, without however explicitly claiming responsibility.
The Serpukhov was reportedly located at the Russian naval base in the city of Baltiysk. According to military intelligence, in the fire "the means of communication and automation" of the ship "were completely destroyed". According to Gur, the Serpukhov is a Russian ship of project 21631 "Buyan-m" and is equipped with a vertical launch system for 8 Onyx, Zircon and Kalibr cruise missiles.
