The woman has been involved in drug affairs in the past. In particular, she was one of the 15 people to whom, in June 2019, at the height of an investigation begun in 2015, the Carabinieri of the Eboli Company (Salerno) notified as many precautionary measures, issued by the investigating judge at the request of the DDA.
Among the crimes charged, for various reasons, is also criminal association aimed at illicit trafficking of narcotic substances. Prominent members of the Del Giorno underworld family from Piana del Sele ended up in handcuffs, believed by investigators to be in contact with the 'Ndrangheta from which they purchased drugs to resell. The woman, driving the SUV, tested
positive for alcohol and also for cocaine
, but this latter positivity must be confirmed by a cross-examination. The Salerno prosecutor accuses her of the crime of vehicular homicide.
