A situation which would plunge him, as well as his wife Kate Middleton, into “intense anxiety”. A particularly distressing situation as the Princess of Wales herself suffers from cancer.

The announcement of Charles III's cancer dates back to February 5. Buckingham Palace then announced that he was suffering from a “form of cancer”, without giving further details. “Her Majesty today began a program of regular treatment, during which doctors advised her to postpone her public engagements,” the statement said at the time
.
King Charles III 'doing well'
However, for the moment there is no question of abdication or succession. For the first time since the announcement of his cancer, King Charles III appeared in public at Easter mass in Windsor on Sunday March 31.
In accordance with medical instructions, the sovereign avoided crowd baths to limit the risk of infection, but wished to reassure by this gesture about his state of health. “I think (his presence) is really significant. This indicates that he is doing well and that he is on the right track regarding his health,” declared a sympathizer present at the Saint George chapel.
