If a third part had been announced by the actress herself in 2018, then planned for cinemas in February 2020, the health crisis linked to Covid-19 meant otherwise and the release date was constantly postponed and is still not confirmed today, to the point that the project now seems to be on

But Elle Woods could be back very soon! More than 20 years later, the cult film will soon return in series form. According to
Deadline
, it is the 48-year-old actress' production company, Hello Sunshine, which will work on this new project.
A series written by the producers of Gossip Girl
If we do not yet know the plot, the casting, the production date of this new series or even if the actress will reprise her cult role of Elle Woods, Reese Witherspoon could well be back, at least behind the scenes, as executive producer.
It will also be written by the producer duo behind Gossip Girl and Newport Beach, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. And still according to

, the actress' production company already has ideas for a second series. But we will therefore have to arm ourselves with a little more patience to discover what has become of Elle Woods...
