Scarlett Johansson hits the Prada screen
Prada's latest campaign, dedicated to its Galleria bag, employs the talents of not one but two cinema personalities. The first, the star, is Scarlett Johansson. The actress perfects a text in front of the camera, with different emotions and intonations, showing the infinite possibilities of acting, before rushing out into the street and catching a taxi. The second, behind the lens, is director Jonathan Glazer, awarded for his film
The Zone of Interest
at the 2024 Oscars. He captures, through a dichotomy specific to Prada's intellectuality, the complexity and depth of the profession, the blurred boundary between an actor and his character.

Balenciaga relaunches the City Bag
He was the darling of the stars in the early 2000s. Seen on the arms of the Olsen sisters, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie but especially Kate Moss (who greatly contributed to his popularity), the Balenciaga City Bag invaded the era the streets and red carpets. Today, more than twenty years after its creation, the Italian brand led by Demna has chosen to relaunch this iconic model, somewhat reinventing its curves. So, although it still has 25 leather panels assembled by hand, its corners have been reinforced, so it appears less flexible. Its legendary thimble-shaped studs and metal zippers are reduced in size, but it keeps its shoulder strap and its fringes. Its maximalism is in tune with the times, that of soft leather bags, filled with bric-a-brac, to be carried under the arm.

Saint Laurent Productions returns to the Cannes Film Festival with three films in competition
In April 2023, Anthony Vaccarello began launching the film production company Saint Laurent Production. After contributing to the films of Pedro Almodóvar and Jean-Luc Godard last year, the production house is supporting three films this year, all presented at the Cannes Film Festival:
Emilia Perez
by Jacques Audiard, which depicts the links between an overqualified lawyer and a cartel leader who wants to get out of business;
The Shrouds
of David Cronenberg, where an influential widowed businessman invents a technology to monitor the dead in their graves and who sees that of his wife desecrated. And finally
Parthenope
by Paolo Sorrentino, a story of a human existence with its ups and downs in Naples. The production company thus strengthens the links between Saint Laurent and cinema, which had taken root during the creator's time and which are thus perpetuated by Anthony Vaccarello.

Diptyque is strong in coffee
A gourmet break doesn't always taste like coffee. Sometimes he gets the smell too. With its four new candles, Diptyque immerses the most abstract of the five senses into the world of the Parisian coffee house Café Verlet. On the menu, four flavors inspired by the menu: a
Coffee
with grassy notes of roasted beans, a
Biscuit
with spicy flavors,
Candied Fruits
with the tangy essence of a plum and sandalwood and a
Chantilly
cream with the scent airy and vanilla. The two brands thus honor the capital's famous cafés, their excitement and the still journeys they allow, with a little gentleness.
