With the announcement of the 61st session of the Damascus International Fair under the slogan (from Damascus to the world) strategic messages sent by Syria to herald its victories over all attempts to pressure, blockade and undermine this homeland, the homeland of humanity and the cradle of civilizations and to emphasize that it is proceeding with the construction and reconstruction of its citizens and its national goods.
With the coming hours, Damascus will be the destination of many participants and visitors to the Damascus International Fair coming from different countries of the world, where the flag of 38 participating countries will rise and the presence of local and foreign companies, an increase of 500 companies from last year, in addition to the presence of business delegations from Iraq, Oman, UAE, Lebanon, Iran and others.
The exhibition, which in its 61st session has achieved the largest reserved area since its inception at the local and regional level, exceeded the 100,000 square meters in a clear indication of Syria's economic and investment status in the world.
For more than half a century, the Damascus International Fair has been at the forefront of international exhibitions and markets, being the oldest and most prestigious in the region. It hosts many official international exhibitions and thousands of Syrian and international companies each year, providing an economic platform and an opportunity to exchange meetings between businessmen and a forum to conclude deals, which supports the national economy. It increases trade exchange rates and activates the business and investment sector in Syria.
On the timing of Damascus, the Syrians in the expatriate set their hours for the Damascus International Fair, some of them intended for the homeland to participate, and some who follow remotely through the media and social networking sites to be present in every detail and new.
The exhibition halls await visitors to the exhibition and the audience of its activities, which include concerts, performances and dancing folklore paintings that will illuminate the summer nights to show Syrians the continuity and victory of the culture of life over death and terrorism.
The Ministry of Transport announced the completion of all necessary procedures to receive official delegations and participants during the period of the exhibition, starting from the airport and Damascus International Airport road to matters relating to the conduct of trains for the transport of visitors and also equipped the southern entrance gate of the exhibition city to facilitate the entry and exit of citizens coming through trains.
The international exhibition has a popular interest because it is a cultural and social heritage and a seasonal event awaited by the Syrians to see the national and international products and identify the wings of the participating countries, according to heritage researcher Younis Ahmed Al-Nasser in an interview with SANA, where it is a forum for the exchange of cultures between peoples and a beautiful space for hiking and enjoying considering that the exhibition The years of war have become a Syrian image and reflects its ability and willingness to invest, produce, and tourism, and a great opportunity for exhibitors and investors, especially as an important station to start towards reconstruction and construction.
Al-Nasser pointed out to the government's interest in the exhibition, especially this year, to form a government team concerned with the success of this event and to provide the necessary facilities to make it a success because of its importance and its role in supporting the national economy.
The Damascus International Fair will kick off its 61st session tomorrow with an official opening ceremony. It will be open to visitors on Thursday 29 August and will last until 6 September from 5 pm to 11 pm.
