In a statement to SANA's Palmyra correspondent, Eng. Mahmoud Ali confirmed that the establishment is working to maintain the road from Palmyra to Deir Ezzor after a contract with the Military Construction Establishment worth 400 million pounds to maintain the distance from Palmyra to Sokhna in addition to the implementation of a contract with A branch of Roads and Bridges Company in the Eastern Region worth 400 million pounds plus a quarter of the estimated work of 100 million pounds for the distance from Sokhna to Deir Ezzor, where the entire project is nearing completion.

He pointed out that "this vital road is a major artery linking the coastal area and the south and central eastern region, indicating that after the liberation of the region from the terrorists rehabilitation of damaged bridges."

The director of the roads and bridges branch in the eastern region, Eng. Ammar Haider, said that the work is currently on the skimming and paving of the road Sokhna Hreibsha up to the outskirts of the city of Deir Ezzor with a contract value of about half a billion pounds, pointing out that the company is also working on the rehabilitation of bridges destroyed by the organization.
