The electronics magnate is the creator of two television channels, including One America News Network, which has just dethroned Fox News in the heart of Donald Trump.

White House Screamer

Since August 8, Robert Herring proudly proclaims him on his Twitter account: One America News Network (OANN), the news channel he launched on the Internet in 2013, has become "the favorite of President" Donald Trump. The latter continues to hail the very favorable coverage of his administration while increasing criticism against the powerful chain Fox News cable, which he regularly considers too critical.

Promoter of the nabobs

This Trumpian recognition is a consecration for this 77-year-old self-made-man born in Louisiana to a modest family who made a fortune in California in the electronic circuit sector. After selling his firm Herco Technology in 2000, Robert Herring launched himself into the media by creating a first channel, Wealth TV, in 2004, focused on luxury, designed as a showcase to lead a life of nabob by proxy, then OANN.

Mouthpiece of conservatism

Contrary to the promise to limit himself to "raw facts without opinions," Robert Herring continues to impose on his chains his conservative convictions. He had posted them in 2005 in the high-profile conflict between the husband of a young woman immersed in a permanent vegetative state, Terri Schiavo, the parents of the latter. Robert Herring had unsuccessfully offered Michael Schiavo a million dollars to give up his efforts to stop feeding his wife.

Herald of conspiracy

Fifteen years later, OANN, led by the son of the founder, Charles, actively campaigns against illegal immigration and any attempts to supervise the gun market. It has opened its antenna to the conspiracy Jack Posobiec, runner of "MacronLeaks", and offers in its subscription package access to the Russian channel pro-Kremlin RT and the site Infowars, also regularly accused of spreading false information.
