The complainant, who lives in a house on the other side of the road for a year, is disturbed by the noise of ducks despite double glazing and some work. "When you own a place, you expect to enjoy a certain quality of life," he told the regional daily.

Installed for 36 years

According to him, a public stream would also be polluted and the presence of poultry nearby would attract flies and rats on his land. The man had visited his neighbor several times to discuss the problem.

For her part, the owner of the ducks claims that no one has ever complained since settling in the neighborhood 36 years ago. She also adds that an acoustician, commissioned by his neighbor, "found nothing abnormal" . Failing amicable agreement between the two parties, the case will be tried in the court of Dax September 3.
