This Sunday, August 25, around 10:30, the gendarmes of Vitré found a body in the garden pond Park. This is a man living in the residence of Trémoille. At the age of 96, he would have woken up around one o'clock in the morning and left home without his walker. Around 7:30, not finding him, his wife alerted the gendarmerie. Four patrols of the Vitré brigade, the PSIG (gendarmerie surveillance and intervention platoon) and a dog handler from Rennes then began researching the housing of the two pensioners.
The body is quickly found in the pond of the Garden Park, around 10:30, side green alley. Eight firefighters are rushed on the spot with an ambulance and a boat, but they can only note the death of the nonagenarian.
The Criminal Investigative Crime Squad and the doctor found a natural death. The man used to walk in the park's garden and could have accidentally fallen.
