The controversy around "Orleans", the new novel by Yann Moix published August 21, 2019, never ends. The author, who accuses his parents of violence and humiliation, was given two rights of reply from his father and his brother Alexandre. It is the turn of two childhood friends Yann Moix to answer them and defend their comrade writer in the columns of Paris Match.
"Yann's fear was palpable. He was constantly walking on eggs. The fury of his father, of which I have sometimes been a witness, had nothing to do with the anger and kind remonstrance of mine: it was read on his face. We felt that as soon as we turned our backs, it would look good for him. " This is one of the secrets that can be read among others, made by S., childhood friend Yann Moix, in the columns of Paris Match , Sunday, August 25.
And his other friend Cyril to continue: "Yann and [his brother Alexander] have always hated each other. I never heard that Yann mistreated her. I think Alexandre is mainly trying to defend his parents. I think he wants Yann to have eclipsed it. "
A child worried, beaten and humiliated
For if the two friends take the defense of Yann Moix today, it is above all to answer Alexandre Moix, who accused, in an open letter, his brother Yann of having martyred him. The words are hard and the facts are cruel. " I was watching for the return of his late-returning father [...] Yann did not know, but worried about him, I stuck my ear to their door and I heard his screams, his heart-rending screams, the blows and the insults of his father who was raining ... The following day I always spotted the purple marks on his arms, thighs, back, traces of laceration, sometimes bruises on his face. Or dried blood residues, poorly cleaned! Says one.
" At home there was a martinet hanging in the middle of the kitchen. Yann told me that his mother liked to use it. [...] We knew we should not wave, that if not, as [Yann] said, "a rust" was waiting for him. With a belt, an extension cord ... " adds the other.
The two friends still agree on one point: Yann Moix could be a "turbulent" child, who "annoyed" his teachers with "his plumb" . But, for all that, one of them believes that the facts denounced by the writer "are known and have never been denied before, whereas Yann has often mentioned them in his previous books [...] without anyone his entourage does not rebel .
