A media delegation representing Russian and European media visited today the temporary residence center in al-Bayada neighborhood of Homs, which includes hundreds of displaced people coming from Al-Rukban camp in al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Jordanian border after suffering difficult humanitarian conditions as a result of their siege by the US occupation forces and their terrorist mercenaries in the camp.

The delegation was briefed on the services provided by the Syrian state and NGOs to the temporary residency centers and to provide all the needs of the returnees from the camp in those centers in preparation for their return to their areas liberated by the Syrian Arab Army from terrorism.

The media and interviews with the displaced out of the camp, about the difficult living conditions and life of humiliation, oppression, hunger and deprivation imposed on them by the US occupation forces during their presence in the camp.

The media delegation also visited Um Al-Zanar Church in Al-Hamidiya neighborhood in the center of Homs and heard from Archbishop Silwanis Boutros Al-Ne'ma, Bishop of Homs, Hama and Tartous for the Syrian Orthodox Church, to explain about the history of the church and the extent of destruction and vandalism that it suffered at the hands of terrorist groups and maintenance and rehabilitation work to restore them as they were.

The governorate of Homs frequently receives batches of displaced persons coming out of Al-Rukban camp in Al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Jordanian border and they are received in temporary accommodation centers until they are transferred to their areas free from terrorism.
