The Ministry of Agriculture announced an auction to sell a number of purebred Arabian horses tomorrow at the Damascus International Fair.
The director of the Arabian Horses Office at the Ministry of Agriculture, Ghayath Al-Shayeb, said that the number of horses offered for auction is 24 horses, including fourteen imported horses and 10 horses of Syrian origin to give confidence to the customer by knowing the true price of the horse.
According to Al Shayeb, the horse office in the exhibition will participate in a verse that represents the true environment of the Arabian horse with its accessories of ancient heritage tools in addition to the Arab sessions and ten horse houses that will be presented to visitors continuously.
Al-Shayeb pointed to the organization of a march for horses in the exhibition, which is attended by the Knights of the Internal Security Forces, 50 knights dressed in Arab knights of Damascus countryside and 20 knights of the police club.
The 61st Damascus International Fair officially kicked off yesterday and begins today to receive visitors until the sixth of September.
Syria joined the Arabian Horse Organization in 1989 and published the first genealogy of Arabian horses in 1990 and has continued to publish regularly until this year.
