FARC dissent announces that it rises in arms

In a video posted on the internet, the FARC dissent announced that the armed struggle will continue in Colombia.

(CNN Spanish) - The dissent of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) announced that they will continue the armed struggle in the country.

On their old website, the one they used before the peace process, several FARC leaders have announced that they are taking up the armed struggle. The leader “Iván Márquez”, who was head of the peace negotiations in Havana, made the announcement in a video posted on the internet.

In the statement Márquez said he spoke of “a new stage of struggle for the awakening of consciences. From Inírida, which caresses with the tenderness of its fresh waters the Amazon rainforest and the Orinoco, besieged by the fragrance of Vaupés, which is ripe pineapple, we announce to the world that the second Marquetalia has begun under the protection of universal law that assists all the peoples of the world rise in arms against oppression. ”
