(CNN Spanish) - The high commissioner for peace in Colombia, Miguel Ceballos, said that the group of FARC dissidents who announced Thursday that they will return to arms "is inspired by drug trafficking."

At a conference in Washington, Ceballos added that the authorities "intuit" that this group of guerrillas would be in Venezuela. The high commissioner for peace said that by announcing an alliance with the ELN guerrilla group, the group of dissidents who take up arms show a "military and strategic weakness." Ceballos also said that these groups would be receiving support from the "dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro."

"47% of the ELN is in Venezuela," said Ceballos.

The Government of Nicolás Maduro has not ruled on these accusations. CNN is trying to get a reaction from the Venezuelan authorities.

The high commissioner for peace asked that the Special Justice for Peace (JEP) suspend the benefits to these guerrillas, while urging the Colombian Attorney General's Office to issue arrest warrants against him.

Ceballos also demanded from the FARC political party that these guerrillas be expelled from the organization.
