[New Delhi 28th Reuters]-India will take the strictest measures to date as a disposable plastic measure from October 2nd, the birthday of independent father Mahatma Gandhi. Specifically, six items such as plastic bags, plastic cups and straws are prohibited nationwide.

Prime Minister Modi is working to abolish disposable plastic products by 2022. In the speech on Independence Day on August 15, he called on the public and government agencies to “take a big step” to free India from disposable plastics on October 2.
