President Bashar al-Assad received today a delegation from the French National Rally Party, headed by Terry Mariani, a member of the European Parliament.
The meeting dealt with the situation in Syria and the developments in the war on terrorism, where the French delegation presented a set of queries and ideas answered by President al-Assad, especially regarding the continuation of the war on terrorism until its elimination in all Syrian territories and the recent victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in the countryside of Hama, Idlib and Turkish supportive intervention. To the terrorist groups based in Idlib, foreign terrorists fighting in Syria, and the policy of the US administration that seeks to perpetuate instability in Syria and the region.
During the meeting, they held an in-depth dialogue on a number of issues of common concern, especially with regard to the policies adopted by Europe, both towards the countries of the region or about extremism and terrorism and the dependence of some of its countries on the United States and the damage that these policies have caused to the European people and the future of Europe and the nature of its relations with other countries.
Members of the delegation also include MPs Nicolas Bay and Virgeni Guron.
