DAMASCUS, (SANA) -Syria and the Russian Republic of Crimea signed on Monday an agreement to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Damascus International Fair in its 61st session.
In a press statement, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Georgi Muradov stressed the importance of strengthening Russian-Syrian cooperation in all fields, especially the reconstruction of Syria, noting that the aim of his visit is to sign trade and economic cooperation agreements between the two countries and to participate in the 61st Damascus International Fair, which is witnessing an increase in the number of participants and participating companies. Muradov pointed to the great successes achieved by Syria in the fight against terrorism, stressing that these successes pave the way for the Russian contribution to the process of reconstruction and work in all economic areas of Syria.
In a similar statement, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil said that the agreement came after a year of cooperation between the two countries and included several areas, including the establishment of a commercial house that forms a channel for cooperation through the import and export of products between Syria and Crimea, in addition to the formation of working groups for cooperation in various economic fields.
