(CNN Spanish) - Luis Enrique MartĂnez, former technical director of Barcelona and the Spanish National Team, reported on his social networks that his 9-year-old daughter Xana died.

Xana fought an osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, for 5 months, the technician said.
Luis Enrique had left the national team citing personal reasons and finally resigned from office in June. The reasons for his retirement from the sports activity had remained in strict reserve, as the coach himself requested from the outset.
