(CNN) - Hurricane Dorian is forecast to impact Florida on Monday as a category 4 hurricane.
Thursday: Dorian will move through the Caribbean Sea northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands. As there will be less wind shear, less dry air and warmer temperatures on the sea surface, the hurricane will be stronger.
Friday: the storm is likely to become a major storm of category 3 or higher. High pressure along the east coast of the United States will lead Dorian to the west, and winds with tropical storm force of 62 km / h or more will reach the Bahamas.
Saturday: Tropical storm force winds will arrive in Florida in the afternoon, and there are likely to be small fluctuations in the intensity of the storm.
Sunday: Dorian is expected to become a category 4 hurricane, with winds of 209 km / h, near the Bahamas. The forward movement of the storm will probably decrease.
Monday: Dorian will crawl to the east coast of Florida. The storm is expected to land, possibly between Space Coast and West Palm Beach. Hurricane conditions will be felt throughout the day in an area that extends 64 km from the center of the storm.
