US President Donald Trump has canceled his week-end trip to Poland over Hurricane Dorian approaching the coast of Florida. Instead, Vice President Mike Pence will take part in commemoration events at the start of World War II in Poland, Trump said.
He also communicated this by telephone to Polish President Andrzej Duda. The US President was originally scheduled to arrive in Warsaw this Sunday. Trump now said that by remaining in the country, he wanted to make sure that all of his government's resources were "geared to the incoming storm."
Hurricane Dorian is currently gathering power over the western Atlantic and is expected to hit the southeast coast of the United States this Sunday or Monday. Meteorologists predict that "Dorian" will hit land as a very powerful hurricane. Trump warned that "Dorian" could become a "huge" hurricane.
