Within the activities of the Damascus International Fair on its third day, visitors to the exhibition continued the international horse auction organized by the Arabian Horses Bureau at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform with the participation of a number of Syrian horses of pure origin.
Director of the Arabian Horse Office, Ghiath Al-Shayeb, said in a statement to SANA that the auction will be held within the exhibition with the participation of 24 horses in two phases, the first dedicated to the pure Syrian horses, which was held today and witnessed a remarkable turnout of breeders and visitors, during which 12 horses were sold, 4 of which were sold.
For his part, the founding member of the Syrian Society for Purebred Arabian Bassel Al-Jadaan pointed to the distinguished position held by the Syrian Arabian horse, which has its roots in the depth of history, which made him admired by Arab horse lovers around the world.
A number of visitors expressed their admiration for the horses that were displayed from different breeds, while a number of horse breeders participating in the auction pointed to the need to intensify such activities because of their importance in highlighting and developing Syrian Arabian horses.
