Keizai Doyukai and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed a memorandum of understanding on African development on the 30th. The Doyukai has been focusing on Africa's growth potential for about 10 years. Although we have continued to interact with UNDP, we decided to strengthen our cooperative relationship with the 7th African Development Conference (TICAD7) in Yokohama.

Mr. Soichiro Hashimoto, Managing Director and UNDP Director General Afna Ezakonwa Africa signed. Mr. Hashimoto said, “I want to deepen cooperation with UNDP and take part in the change.” Director Ezakonwa hoped that “connecting with the Japanese business community could solve African development challenges”.
