The Ministry of Electricity workshops started the rehabilitation and maintenance of Al Buhamad power station in the southeastern Raqqa countryside, which was vandalized and looted by terrorist organizations before the liberation of the area by the Syrian Arab Army.

The Director General of Electricity Transmission Engineer Fawaz Al-Zaher told SANA that the electricity workshops started work in Al-Buhamad Power Station in Al-Raqqa South-East countryside, which was completely destroyed and looted by terrorist organizations. Providing transformers, equipment, maintenance supplies, tension lines and control rooms.

He pointed out that the workshops were brought from the governorates of Damascus, Deir Ezzor, Hama and Homs, in addition to workers in the electricity of Raqqa to accomplish this work and with national hands and expertise saving hundreds of millions.

Al-Zaher added that the equipment was brought from Damascus and Homs through a heavy transport process as a result of the distance and heavy loads that require special mechanisms, where the workers succeeded in delivering them in a timely manner.

In turn, a number of citizens praised the efforts exerted to deliver basic services to all the liberated areas and the efforts of the electricity workshops to accomplish the work and deliver the light to the countryside of Raqqa, where the army had previously eliminated the darkness of terrorism.
