Occupied Jerusalem-Sana
Hundreds of Palestinians during a solidarity pause southwest of Jenin in the West Bank with the Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in Israeli jails demanded the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards the systematic injustice they endure and work for their release.
WAFA news agency quoted participants in the town of Burqin today as saying that what is happening against the prisoners in the Israeli detention centers is an organized crime and an order contrary to all international norms, calling on all international, humanitarian and human rights institutions and the International Committee of the Red Cross to exert more efforts to stop the arbitrary occupation practices against prisoners.
Some 6,000 Palestinian prisoners are facing harsh detention conditions in the Israeli Occupation Forces. Some 1,800 of them are suffering from various diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs.
