A man with a knife in his hand attacked a passerby one after another at around 4:30 pm near the subway entrance in Villerbanne near Lyon, central France. According to French AFP news, one person died and nine were seriously injured. Security authorities have secured the man's personality and examined his motives.
According to French news agency BFMTV, the man was an Afghan national and had applied for refugee status.
