Fire brigades in cooperation with the residents this evening put out a large fire near the Roum Dam in the area of the back of the mountain east of the city of As-Suwayda, affecting large areas and damaged trees and fruitful.
The fire brigade commander in the Suwayda fire brigade, Aktham al-Nabwani, explained that the fire broke out in the north-eastern slope of the dam south of the road leading to Al-Mishnif and its north. The Directorate of Agriculture and the people and their own mechanisms after about 4 hours of continuous work in a very difficult area.
He pointed out that the fire brigade also dealt today with a number of fires broke out with varying areas of land grass, especially on the road of the Directorate of Transport and west of the mill station and the neighborhood of independence without significant damage.
The fire brigades, in cooperation with the concerned authorities and residents, put out many fires in different areas of the governorate, which damaged thousands of dunums of agricultural and forest land, and slaughter between field crops, fruit trees, and forests and grasses, including several fires in the dam area itself.
