Damascus and Al-Suwayda first in the overall standings of the Olympic championship

Lattakia-SANA Leads Damascus Junior and Sweden Junior Teams

Damascus teams for juniors and Swede for young women topped the overall standings of the teams participating in the cycling championship held in Lattakia within the activities of the Fourth National Olympics for young men and women with the participation of 170 cyclists.

In the championship teams against time for juniors for a distance of 20 km Damascus team won the first place in a time of 04.04 minutes and Hama with 32.20 minutes and rural Damascus with 34 minutes.

In the 15-km time junior championship, Al-Suwayda team won the first place in 32.04 minutes, Hama in second place with 33.31 minutes and Tartous third with 24-24 minutes.

The youth team was represented by junior team Ali Mousli, Ahmed Al Hayek and Ahmed Al Abdullah, while the young women of Sweida, Gharam Jubeir, the former left and Rania Darwish.

Sandy Dergham of Damascus took 18.57 seconds, followed by Sandy Asaad Tartous in 19.18 seconds, and the left before the endosperm with 20.24 seconds.

He won first place in the junior category championship in the individual competition against time for a distance of 15 km Ahmed Al Abdullah Damascus in 23.38 seconds, Ibrahim Zakaria in 24.11 seconds and Hassan Alwani in 24.16 seconds, both from Hama.

In the women's singles competition for 30 km, Sandy Assaad was crowned first place in 53.05 minutes and Sandy Dergham in 53.05 minutes. Hama Sidra Takla came third in 53.05 minutes.

In a statement to SANA, the director of the tournament, Maher Salim, said that the tournament is successful and its competitions are strong and exciting because of the large participation and the return of Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqa players to participate.He pointed out that the Olympics has contributed to the discovery of many promising talents that will be sponsored and included for the national team to participate in the upcoming championships.

The head of the main referees committee in the game federation Jihad Hallak said that the tournament was held on the highway of Latakia new Aleppo and was characterized by wide participation, bringing the number of players to 170 in addition to 25 referees and wisdom from various provinces.

In turn, Barada Club President Mohamed Hamwi said that the Olympics is a real opportunity to discover the most promising talents and materials, pointing out that cycling is one of the distinct sports in Barada Club in Syria and most of the players of the Barada team are from Barada and therefore should be followed and encouraged.

At the end of the tournament, the top three winners of each race were crowned.
