(CNN) - Hurricane Dorian is currently flogging the Bahamas as a powerful category 5 hurricane. The cyclone, which accumulates winds of 175 miles per hour (280 kilometers per hour), slowly creeps north-west.

Dorian's projected route may continue to change, but this is the current forecast:
Monday
Dorian remains on the Bahamas before crawling to the east coast of Florida on the same day. Hurricane conditions can be experienced by anyone within 30 miles (about 48 kilometers) of the storm's center.

Tuesday
The possibility of Dorian making landfall in Florida is still present, as some forecast models believe that the hurricane will move west. The cyclone is expected to turn north and up the coast of Florida.

Wednesday
The cyclone will continue to produce hurricane winds as it moves north, where it could continue to weaken. There will be an increased risk of strong winds and dangerous storm surges along the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Floods are expected to continue from southern Florida to Georgia.

Thursday
Dorian is expected to get closer to the coast of Carolina, with the clear possibility that the eye of the hurricane will touch land.
