The theme of the day: parliamentary elections in Saxony and Brandenburg
The day after the state elections in Saxony and Brandenburg it is clear: The big shock has failed. In Brandenburg, the SPD won by Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke, in Saxony, the CDU of his counterpart Michael Kretschmer strongest force. Nevertheless, a lot will change in both countries in the future:
- The time of the twofold alliances is over. In both federal states, a government without the Greens is currently hardly conceivable - but the conditions.
