A 14-year-old American boy has killed all five members of his family after being shot in Alabama.
"The boy called the police after he committed the crime and confessed to him," local police said.
"The boy was interrogated and admitted to killing his five family members at home," Limestone County police chief wrote on Twitter, adding that the boy "is now helping investigators locate the weapon he threw nearby."
Five people were killed and 21 injured in Midland and Odessa, western Texas, days ago in similar shootings, while the New York Times revealed that 51 people were killed in shootings in the United States last August.
Crimes and shootings in the United States are escalating on various grounds due to persistent racist incitement policies and continuing arms-permitting laws, which President Donald Trump insists should not be compromised despite repeated calls by lawmakers and human rights organizations for amendments.
