So far, Parliament is debating issues other than Brexit. But important politicians are already commenting on the expected bill and the upcoming emergency debate.
Ex-Treasury Secretary Philipp Hammond , one of the opponents of unresolved Brexit, told the BBC that there were enough opposition politicians and Tory rebels against a no-deal to bring the plans to fruition.
Hammond also explained the motives of those Tories who want to vote against their party leader Johnson: "Many colleagues are angry about the events of recent weeks, I think there is a group of conservatives who are sure that now is the time to put national interest over any personal threats or career ". Hammond played on Johnson's threats against the renegade Tory colleagues, if they want to withdraw from the party membership.

It starts
The British House of Commons ends its summer break - and it could come directly to a showdown between the government and parliament. Opponents of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's tough Brexit bid to launch a law to stop an unregulated withdrawal from the EU.
First step of this project: To gain power over the agenda , which has so far been blocked by appointments made by the government. For this purpose, the lower house spokesman John Bercow would have to schedule an emergency debate in the afternoon. In this, the deputies could vote on whether they may debate the next day in the House of Commons on a bill that is not from the government.
Specifically, the no-deal opponents are concerned with a law that forces Johnson to ask for a postponement of the Brexit date in Brussels if he can not soon show an agreement. Such a law would be one of the last legislative options to prevent an unregulated EU exit.
