Prime Minister Eng. Khamis visited the Damascus International Fair today and toured a number of pavilions to see the participation of national companies and events from the public and private sectors in the sixty-first session of it and listened to their demands on the facilities necessary to promote and support local production to benefit the national economy.

In the pavilion of the Syrian Arab Republic, Eng. Khamis briefed on the departments of ministries and government institutions, including exhibits, products, services and the introduction of new projects for citizens. He also toured companies participating in the “textile and chemical pavilion”, “engineering pavement, reconstruction and technology”, “agricultural pavilion” The Central Committee for Export in the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, lauding the efforts exerted by the national cadres to upgrade the Syrian industry which started the recovery phase.

The food stand listened to the views of the officials of the participating national companies regarding their return to work in the areas free of terrorism and the government facilities provided for this, especially with regard to supporting shipping and exporting, in addition to reviewing the export contracts signed during the exhibition.

Engineer Khamis called on participating companies to adhere to the standard specifications and quality standards to keep Syrian products a title of excellence in local and foreign markets, calling for accelerating the pace of work and benefit from the exhibition in marketing the Syrian product locally and abroad.

In a statement to reporters at the end of the visit, Eng. Khamis stressed that the Damascus International Fair in its current session presented a message to the world about the reality of Syria with all its components, pointing out that this session was the largest in terms of areas reserved and its economic, cultural, tourism and social diversity, which reflects the Syrian people and their determination and steadfastness.

Engineer Khamis pointed out that despite all the challenges and difficulties created by the terrorist war, this achievement of the Syrian people was a real product of the sacrifices of our valiant armed forces that made victory, which allowed the people of the country to practice their activities and activities, noting what was characterized by the current session in terms of the number of participating countries and the organization and methods of presentation and presentation. All fields and activities.

Engineer Khamis pointed out that there are steps presented and their results have emerged during the past days with regard to the economic aspect, especially the signed contracts, stressing that the public sector as well as the private sector formed a real message in the reality of the Syrian economy and the start of the process of production and reconstruction.

Khamis stressed that Syria will emerge victorious thanks to the sacrifices of the army and the people as well as the achievements of public and private sector companies, pointing out that Syria is opening its doors to everyone who stood with the Syrian people and believes in a relationship of mutual respect.

Khamis was accompanied by the Ministers of Economy, Foreign Trade, Agriculture, Agrarian Reform, Oil and Mineral Resources, Transport and Water Resources and Director of the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets.
