Hama wool and carpet company introduces new production machines

The General Company for Wool and Carpet Industry strives to improve the production process and achieve added value through the operation and investment of its various divisions and lines, especially wool washing and new wool yarn production lines mixed with natural and industrial wool to meet the needs of the company and the local market.

Eng. Noman Al-Asfar, the general manager of the company, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the company's technicians have carried out several experiments on producing new varieties of woolen yarns mixed between natural wool and acrylic material (artificial wool) in order to manufacture woolen yarn to meet the requirements and needs of yarn companies in the private sector. The needs of public sector companies involved in the manufacture of clothing and woolen blankets, highlighting the importance of this experience in the production of woolen yarn softer, lighter and higher quality.

Al-Asfar pointed out that the results of these experiments and their circulation on the production lines of the company will soon see the light reflected positively on the production process as a kind, adding that the wool washing department of the company achieved significant financial revenues as the quantities of wool washed and processed for the special woolen yarn factories exceeded 350 tons. This year.

Al-Asfar revealed the introduction of two yarn machines and two towing machines from the Chinese production line which has been suspended for years for the company to the German production line currently invested, which contributes to increase working hours and development of production.

As for the quantities of woolen carpets that were sold during the last season, Al-Asfar said that it exceeded 35 thousand square meters, while the stock of carpets at the company's warehouses is currently about 79 thousand square meters. He expected that the process of discharging carpets during the coming period will witness great growth as the winter season approaches.

For his part, Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Rajab, production manager at the company, confirmed in a similar statement the company's keenness to produce woolen yarn in accordance with the Syrian standards in order to maintain the quality of woolen yarns being produced, reviewing the experiences that were conducted during this period of mixing natural woolen yarn with its industrial counterpart Specific.

It is noteworthy that the profits of the General Company for the manufacture of wool and carpets last year reached 55 million Syrian pounds.
