(CNN) - You don't have to be on Earth to understand the destructive power of Hurricane Dorian.

Ask NASA astronaut Nick Hague.

The astronaut took this dramatic photo of Dorian from the safety of his hanger inside the International Space Station and shared it on Twitter earlier this week.

The angle of the photo allows you to look directly into the eye of the monstrous storm.

"The eye of #HurricaneDorian," Hague wrote in the publication. “You can feel the power of the storm when you look at the eye from above. Please everyone stay safe! ”

Inside the eye

A view has also been captured from inside Dorian's eye, thanks to the meteorologist, hurricane hunter and Air Force Captain Garrett Black.

He took an impressive photo of Dorian's eye as he flew through the storm on Sunday.

In the extraordinary photo you can see the wall of Dorian's eye, which is a solid wall of clouds, with the sun shining through a blue sky above.
