[Rome 4th Reuters]-Italy's Prime Minister Conte submitted a cabinet list on the 4th and was approved by President Mattarella. An oath ceremony will be held on the morning of the 5th and a new cabinet will be established.
The main post, the Minister of Economy, was appointed Roberto Guartieri, chairman of the European Parliament's Economic Affairs Committee. The leader of the left-wing “Five Star Movement”, who agreed to establish a coalition government with the left-wing Democratic Party, will become Foreign Minister. The successor to the interior minister is Luciana Lamorgese, a career bureaucrat who does not belong to any political party.
In order to increase the number of seats in the Senate, Mr. Roberto Speranza, the leader of the left group “Freedom and Equality” (LEU), joined the cabinet. LEU will be a part of the coalition government.
