Lebanese President General Michel Aoun said that Lebanon will continue to be a defender of the right Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause.
`` It is regrettable that wars have broken up the Arab position and prevented a unified Arab position and we were weakened, '' Aoun said in a speech during a meeting at Baabda Palace today.
Aoun pointed out that the General Assembly of the United Nations will vote at its next session on the 13th of this month on the establishment of the "Academy of Human Meeting and Dialogue" in Lebanon, calling on Arab youth to encourage this initiative and contribute to the definition of different peoples on our culture and civilization.
For his part, Lebanese Minister of State for Foreign Trade Hassan Mourad stressed that the Arab countries and their peoples are united in Palestine and the resistance, pointing out that the establishment of youth camps and dialogue and discussion sessions on various Arab issues aims to find common denominators to achieve the goal we believe in.
