DAMASCUS, (SANA) -Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has returned to the blackmail game he has used for years

Damascus-Sana

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has returned to the blackmail game he has used over the years as his crises intensify and economic and diplomatic pressures mount.

Erdogan, floundering in the face of a major economic crisis amid the collapse of the Turkish lira and the security and political turmoil culminated in successive splits within the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), has sparked a new whirlwind after announcing it could open the way to Europe for immigrants unless it receives international support to deal with Syrian displaced.

The game of blackmailing former allies in Europe has been and continues to be a favorite of Erdogan. The problem of dealing with displaced people and refugees on Turkish soil is a frightening concern for Europeans who prefer to give money and concessions to the president of the Turkish regime in order to bribe him and prevent him from opening the door for thousands of migrants to go to their countries.

Diplomatic disputes that have worsened between Erdogan and European countries over the past years on the backdrop of repressive and reckless policies followed by the latter and his determination to impose his hegemony on all sectors within Turkey and silence all voices opposed to his policies did not eliminate Europe's need for the head of the Turkish regime with regard to the file of refugees and migrants, but imposed on them to deal With him through the provision of funds and content with criticism from afar.

In 2016, Turkey succumbed to Erdogan's blackmail, ignoring criticism from human rights organizations. He reached an agreement on the migrant crisis to return them to Turkey in exchange for Ankara's billions of dollars in addition to facilitating freedom of movement, granting visas to Turkish citizens to Europe, and speeding up Ankara's accession negotiations with the EU.

Since then, Erdogan has returned to exploiting the deal whenever he wants to get money or pressure in return for diplomatic or political gain.

The apparent confusion and attempts to divert attention from Erdogan's crises at home through the fabrication of diplomatic disputes and the coup against close friends are all increasing signs of the cracking of his regime and approaching its end. The poison he spread through the spread of chaos and terrorist organizations in Syria and the region is spreading rapidly in the joints of this regime and is approaching more. From him and there will be no getaway.
