Mario González will present in "Perspectives from Mexico" five emblematic places in Mexico City on the occasion of the "Grito de Independencia" party from Monday 9 to Friday 13 September

(CNN Spanish) - From Monday 9 to Friday September 13, the Perspectives from Mexico program , conducted by renowned journalist Mario González, will broadcast from emblematic places for Mexicans on the occasion of the 209th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico . Starting at 6:00 pm (Miami), the program will feature a series of reports on Mexican history and culture, and several special guests.

Monday, September 9

The first site of transmissions will be the main balcony of Chapultepec Castle, where the Heroes Children died defending what was the Military College, when it was taken by US soldiers during the Battle of Chapultepec.

Tuesday, September 10

Perspectives from Mexico will be transmitted from the Majestic Hotel, in the renowned capital Zócalo and located just in front of the National Palace, headquarters of the Federal Executive Power of Mexico and the current residence of the president of Mexico.

Wednesday, September, 11th

The Palace of Fine Arts, located next to the Alameda Central, will serve as a framework for admiring its Italian marble beauty. Today it is considered the most important venue in the manifestation of the arts in Mexico. Its construction began during the Porfirio Díaz regime and opened its doors in 1932.

Thursday 12 of september

Mario González and the Perspectives team from Mexico move to the Old City Hall Palace, the seat of the Government of Mexico City, where they will show the majesty of the Metropolitan Cathedral from the rooftop terrace.

Friday, September 13

To close the week, the Monument to the Revolution, which was initially to be destined for the Legislative Palace and for various reasons was not built there. The majesty of its structure was decided to transform into a monument for the recently concluded Mexican Revolution.
