India is one step away from reaching the moon. This Saturday at dawn, Friday night in the Western Hemisphere, the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft will reach the Moon through the Western Hemisphere. The spacecraft took off on July 22 and, upon successful landing, will become the first to arrive in the southern polar region. The mission seeks to collect chemical and mineral samples for scientific research. In this way, India will become the fourth country to reach that satellite. The United States, the Soviet Union and China are the other three that have already achieved it.
